EFT – Emotional Freedom Techniques is a relatively new discovery and a fast-evolving treatment within the field of Energy Psychology.
Often referred to as “Psychological acupressure”, or ‘tapping’ the technique works by releasing blockages within the energy system that are the source of emotional intensity and discomfort. These blockages in our energy system, in addition to challenging us emotionally, often lead to limiting beliefs and behaviours and an inability to live life harmoniously.
EFT helps tackle emotional issues around
- low self-esteem
- post traumatic stress disorder etc.
There are many theories about why EFT seems to work, but what has been demonstrated is that tapping on energy meridian points can cause negative emotions like fear, anxiety and stress, to reduce in intensity and sometimes disappear altogether.
NLP -Neuro-Linguistic Programming describes the dynamics between mind (neuro), language (linguistic) and how their interplay effects our body and behaviour (programming).
The combination of NLP and EFT offers a very powerful process for change and development. The reframing of limiting beliefs and behaviours (NLP) together with energetic clearing (EFT) facilitates a momentum of healing and/ or change that bypasses conscious awareness, offering insights and clarity that create irreversible shifts in perspective.
I offer coaching sessions that include EFT and NLP if this is requested by the client.
